The media and information M&A market is booming, as 266
transactions were completed in the first half of 2005 (up 15.2%
from the first six months of 2004), totaling nearly $27 billion
in value (a more than 180% increase over the first half of 2004).
M&A deals sizzled across almost all 11 sectors covered by
The Jordan, Edmiston Group, led by business-to-business magazines,
consumer magazines, directory & reference publishing, exhibitions
and conferences, marketing and interactive services, and online
media.
