Slack Barshinger, received 22 Tower Awards, the most of any entrant for the third year in a row, for work produced across the marketing communications spectrum for a total of eight agency clients plus itself.

The 18-year-old, 80-person agency also won “Best of Show” honors, the second time in the past three years, for its “Echo Boomers” trade show marketing program for Naperville, Il.-based telecommunication equipment maker Tellabs. Launched at SUPERCOMM in June 2005, the integrated campaign has helped reposition Tellabs as an innovative provider of core telecommunication networks for service providers.

Placing in 18 of the Tower competition’s 37 categories, Slack Barshinger won eight Gold Tower Awards, 10 Silver Tower Awards, and three Bronze Tower Awards for its creative work in integrated marketing communications, public relations, interactive marketing, trade show marketing, direct marketing and print, online and broadcast advertising.

Besides Tellabs, for which Slack Barshinger won four Tower Awards in addition to “Best in Show” honors, the agency earned Tower recognition for work done for eBay, Dairy Management Inc., CareerBuilder.com, Hoffman, the Department of Homeland Security (through its relationship with the Ad Council), BMA, and Underwriters Laboratories
